A court verdict has been issued against a man in Tashkent who seriously injured a man who tried to protect a woman. According to the information service of the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Court, the accused was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment.
As it turned out, the incident occurred in March of this year at approximately 02:30 a.m. in one of the restaurants in the capital. During the conflict, a man who tried to protect the woman was seriously injured. The victim was taken to the hospital unconscious and underwent a five-hour operation. After the operation, doctors were forced to induce an artificial coma.
According to the court materials, A.Sh., born in 1995, not only inflicted grievous bodily harm during the commission of the crime, but also committed fraud and hooliganism. During the investigation, all evidence of his actions was collected, and the criminal case was transferred to the court.
According to the court verdict, the accused A.Sh. was found guilty under Article 104, Part 2, Clause "e" (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm), Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" (fraud on a large scale), and Article 277, Part 3, Clause "g" (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the requirements of Article 59 of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment for committing several crimes. According to the verdict, he will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.
The court noted that the victim is currently undergoing rehabilitation, and medical supervision over his health is ongoing. At the same time, the parties have the right to appeal the sentence in the appellate or cassation procedure in the manner prescribed by law.
