In the Chartak district of Namangan region, a woman stabbed her husband to death in front of their children. This was reported by the “Daryo” news outlet.
According to reports, the woman, S., born in 1989, married a man named N. in 2009, and they had three children.
Over time, the relationship between the spouses grew colder. It was discovered that S. had been chatting with other men through the Telegram messenger. On the night of February 28, 2025, around 2:30 a.m., her husband noticed suspicious messages on her phone and demanded an explanation.
The quarrel escalated, and their children woke up, trying to calm them down. However, the husband, driven by jealousy and anger, said he would expel his wife from the house and tell their relatives about her behavior.
The woman, fearing disgrace and in a state of rage, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband several times. The man died at the scene from severe blood loss.
According to the verdict of the Chartak District Criminal Court, the woman was found guilty under paragraph “j”, part 2 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder) and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The incident became another tragic example of the consequences of domestic violence and jealousy.
