The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided prompt information on two road accidents that occurred at the Kamchik Pass. According to the Ministry's press service, on the morning of October 28, a traffic accident involving two trucks was recorded in this area.
According to details, at 06:10, on the section of the A-373 highway passing through the Kamchik Pass, the driver of a SHACMAN truck traveling in the "Vodiy-Tashkent" direction lost control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road.
An hour and a half later, at 07:40, the driver of another DAF truck, which tried to travel in the same direction, also lost control and stopped after hitting an iron barrier in the middle of the road.
The rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene in a short time after receiving the message about the situation. With the help of special equipment, they moved both vehicles to a safe zone.
It was reported that no people were injured as a result of the incident. Although traffic on the road was temporarily restricted, it was cleaned in a short time and traffic was fully restored.
For information, the Kamchik Pass is considered the most complex part of the country's mountain road. Due to the temperature, humidity, and precipitation conditions there, drivers are required to be very attentive and careful. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and the Road Safety Department (RTSD) constantly urge drivers to exercise extreme caution when crossing the pass and to use fully technically ready vehicles.
This incident in Kamchik once again reminded us of the importance of caution and responsibility on the road.
