A serious crime occurred in Fergana following a dispute over alimony payments, reported zamon.uz.
According to the information, at around 18:00 on November 3, a 34-year-old man argued with his 27-year-old wife about child support payments.
During the argument, he lost his temper and attacked his wife and two-year-old daughter with a kitchen knife. According to relatives, the quarrel turned into a tragedy within minutes.
Although the victims were taken to the hospital, the woman and the child died from the injuries they sustained.
After the attack, the man fled the scene but was soon detained by law enforcement officers.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, a criminal case has been opened, and investigative actions are being carried out against the man under Article 97 of the Criminal Code.
The investigation is currently ongoing. Local residents received the news with deep sorrow and pain.
