Special training workshops will be opened to prepare Uzbeks for work in Korea

The management of the South Korean company "KIA Auto" visited the Migration Agency. Following the meeting, from the beginning of 2026, the Migration Agency will open special training workshops that meet KIA AUTO standards. The three-month program will teach Korean language and culture, safety, and practical car service based on Korean methods.

Those who successfully complete the training will be employed in Korea with an E-7 visa (skilled worker). The main requirement for the E-7 visa is knowledge of the Korean language at TOPIC 1 level.

"The Ministry of Justice of Korea has permitted the involvement of foreign specialists in car body painting from 2025. Until now, only local residents worked. Uzbekistan is the first to be involved in this project," the Migration Agency reported.

KIA Auto is Korea's leading car service network, with nearly 600 service centers across the country. It serves more than 1 million vehicles annually, and there is a high demand for qualified personnel.
