A new mechanism for registering houses and structures built on land plots allocated to citizens for construction purposes, including those built without documentation, is expected to be introduced in Uzbekistan. This is stated in the draft government decision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, which was submitted for public discussion on December 2.
The draft law was developed to implement the Law "On Recognition of Rights to Unauthorized Land Plots and Buildings and Structures on Them."
According to the requirements, working groups operating within the framework of the law will conduct a complete inventory of all types of real estate. Most importantly, no application is required from landowners in this process. The identified data will be entered into the special "E'tirof" information system.
Rights to houses and structures permitted for use by the Cadastre Agency are officially registered in the prescribed manner.
If cases of unauthorized construction are identified during the inventory, citizens will be provided with explanations on how to legalize the objects.
At the same time, information on unregistered housing within three months after the completion of the inventory will be sent to the Tax Committee through the Cadastre Agency, and to the relevant regulatory bodies through the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
For information, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 27 of this year, the deadlines for preparing cadastral passports were extended depending on the complexity and category of objects.
This new procedure aims to create a more precise, coordinated, and transparent mechanism for citizens to acquire the legal status of their homes.
