In Namangan, a family dispute between a woman and her husband ended in murder. The regional court issued a verdict against the man who killed his wife's brother.
According to the Supreme Court, the incident occurred on May 20 in the Davlatabad district. The man, intending to bring his wife back, went to the house where her parents lived, but the woman refused to continue living together. After that, an argument arose among the relatives, and the woman's younger brother also became involved.
During the altercation, the defendant inflicted a severe knife injury on him. The young man died at the scene.
The court found the man guilty under Part 2 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment in a general-regime colony.
