Crackdown on Illegal Drug Trafficking in Tashkent

Combating the illegal circulation of narcotics in Tashkent

The State Security Service (SSS) is taking urgent measures to combat the illegal circulation of narcotics and powerful substances. In Tashkent's Yangihayot district, criminal activities of a woman, F.M., born in 1977, have been uncovered.

It was revealed that this individual had stored a large amount of psychotropic substances, brought from the Fergana Valley, in her home. To identify F.M.'s criminal connections, the SSS collaborated with the Tashkent Customs Department and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes to conduct systematic operations.

As a result of the operation, 3,000 units of psychotropic substances and medical products worth 1.1 billion soums, lacking necessary documentation, were discovered in F.M.'s residence. Additionally, during her initial questioning, F.M. disclosed that her neighbor, D.X., also possessed a significant amount of psychotropic substances in his home.

Subsequently, a search of D.X.'s residence led to the discovery and seizure of 17,060 psychotropic drug units and 2,973 uncertified medical products. Investigations and operational measures regarding these incidents have been intensified.

Currently, investigations are being carried out to determine who supplied the substances to both individuals, their connections, and the complete mechanism of the crime. Pre-investigation checks and inquiries are ongoing.
