Nearly 3,000 passengers caught without tickets on buses...

Nearly 3,000 bus passengers were fined for traveling without tickets in Tashkent, the Ministry of Transport has reported.

According to the ministry, during an intensified ticket inspection conducted on bus routes 38 and 46 from December 1–10, a total of 238 passengers were caught traveling without tickets. Administrative protocols were drawn up for these violations.

During the ten-day inspection, administrative protocols were issued and fines were imposed on 2,966 passengers under Article 144 of the Administrative Liability Code for traveling without tickets.

As reported by the press service of “Toshshahartransxizmat” JSC, more than 19,500 cases of fare evasion on public transport were identified over the first 11 months of this year.

As a result, intensified inspection efforts are being conducted in Tashkent to ensure timely payment of public transport fares. These inspections are being carried out by the Transport Control Inspection and the Tashkent City Passenger Transport Monitoring and Control State Institution.

Employees of the Tashkent City Passenger Transport Monitoring and Control State Institution have been authorized to issue fine protocols against passengers who evade fare payments.
