Convict Escaped from Penal Colony and Assaulted Third-Grade Girl Sentenced to 18 Years

A court verdict has been announced in a criminal case that shocked the public in the city of Ohangaron. A man who escaped from a settlement colony and committed a sexual crime against a minor was sentenced to a severe punishment under the law.
According to Aziz Abidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court, the criminal case against M.T., born in 1994, was reviewed by the Ohangaron City Criminal Court, concluding the trial. Considering the victim's age and the grave nature of the crime, the proceedings were held in a closed session in accordance with legal requirements.
According to the court's ruling, the defendant was found guilty of committing a sexual crime through the use of force against a girl born in 2016, a 3rd-grade student. His actions were classified under Article 119, Part 4 of the Criminal Code, and he was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment.
Additionally, the court deemed M.T. an especially dangerous recidivist. It was decided that the first two years of his sentence would be served in prison, with the remainder to be served in a high-security colony.
Reports indicate that this individual escaped from Settlement Colony No. 50 in the Ohangaron district while engaged in productive labor as part of his sentence. Shortly afterward, he committed the grave crime and was apprehended on the same day. A preventive measure of detention was subsequently applied against him.
The court ruling has not yet come into legal force. The parties have the right to file an appeal or cassation complaint with the Tashkent Regional Court within the prescribed timeframe.
This decision once again underscores the firm stance of the law in protecting minors within society.
