Paid parking near a hospital in Kibray district sparks debate'ldi

The press service of the Kibray district administration commented on objections raised on social media about the appearance of a paid parking lot near the district medical association. This was reported by upl.uzreports.

According to officials, a video circulating online claims that the parking area next to the medical association has become paid. The administration said the site is an adjacent area to the medical association and was temporarily handed over to the family business “Oripov Market” to set up a paid parking service.

The office noted that monitoring the issuance of fiscal receipts for parking services falls under the authority of tax bodies, and the administration is not the supervisory agency in this regard. At the same time, entrepreneurs operating paid parking lots in the district were reminded to install automated devices that record entry and exit; oversight of the automation process has also been assigned to tax authorities.

The administration also stated that parking is free in areas managed by the medical association.

Social media users say that in practice this parking lot is barely equipped and lacks even basic line markings. In their view, in such a situation it seems easy to “occupy” part of a landscaped area and collect money for cars to enter. The biggest objection is that a paid parking lot was organized next to a socially significant facility — a medical institution.
