Snow is currently falling on the 127–150 km section of the A373 highway “Tashkent–Ohangaron–Angren–Kokand–Shahrixon–Andijan”. It has been reported that safe two-way traffic is being maintained on this stretch for now.
According to officials, the air temperature in the area is around +1°C. Visibility is about 4,000 meters, and no wind is felt. Humidity has been recorded at 67%.
As the snowfall continues, employees of the state unitary enterprise “Qamchiqavtoyo‘l IYFK” are using special equipment to spread a sand-salt mixture on the road surface to keep traffic flowing safely and without interruption at the pass. This measure is aimed at preventing slippery conditions.
In addition, “Qamchiqavtoyo‘l IYFK” advised all drivers traveling through Kamchik Pass to take weather conditions into account, avoid speeding, keep a safe distance, and strictly follow safety precautions.
In short, the road is open and traffic is moving — but the pass won’t “pamper” anyone: attention behind the wheel is the best guarantee right now.
