In Fergana, a 9th-grade student stabbed a prevention inspector

In Fergana region, in the city of Kokand, a case of inflicting bodily injury with a knife on a prevention inspector was recorded. According to information provided to Zamon.uz by the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, a report was received by the city prosecutor’s office that the incident occurred on February 18, 2026, at around 11:50.

According to preliminary information, the prevention inspector went to the home of a minor citizen born in 2010, a 9th-grade student, following a call from his grandmother. At home, in the kitchen, an argument broke out between the inspector and the teenager.

It is reported that as the disagreement escalated, the teenager took advantage of the fact that the prevention inspector was standing with his back turned and struck him once with a kitchen knife that was on the table. As a result of a medical examination, the victim was diagnosed with a stab-cut wound in the chest area and complications related to bleeding.

In connection with this incident, on February 18, 2026, a criminal case was initiated against the minor under Article 104, Part 2, Clause “b” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The suspect was also detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The investigative actions are ongoing.
