As part of the fight against corruption in our country, law enforcement agencies conducted a series of operational measures. As a result, the illegal actions of individuals who abused their official powers in the Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions were stopped.
Specifically, in the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, an engineer of the State Cadastre Chamber branch promised to register 2 acres of land for a citizen through his acquaintances. He was caught red-handed by DXX and Department officers while receiving 2,500 USD for this service.
A similar incident was recorded in the Sherobod district of the Surkhandarya region. A former chief inspector of the State Tax Inspection demanded 10 million soums from a citizen, promising to restore the ownership rights of a farm through the court. He was detained by law enforcement officers while receiving the funds.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated regarding both incidents under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway. Law enforcement agencies urge citizens not to fall for such illegal offers and to report corruption cases immediately.
