Person caught smuggling gold into Kyrgyzstan

During an operational event held by employees of the State Security Service and the Customs Administration in the Fergana region, an attempt to illegally export precious metals from our country was exposed.

Reportedly, a citizen born in 1996, residing in the Fergana district, arrived at the "Vodil-avto" border customs post in his "Damas" car to cross into the Kyrgyz Republic. When this vehicle was subjected to customs inspection in the prescribed manner, it was found that there were items secretly hidden in the car body.

During the inspection, 4 non-standard shaped gold bars were found inside the car and documented as material evidence in the appropriate manner.

According to the conclusion of the examination conducted by experts, the net weight of these gold bars was 1 kilogram and 232 grams. Their total value is estimated at 2 billion 182 million 466 thousand UZS. Currently, appropriate investigative actions are being carried out regarding this situation.
