Reports that tinting will cost 412,000 soum in summer have been denied

Reports circulating on social media that the price of a permit to tint car windows for the summer season would fall to 412,000 soum are not true. A representative of the Road Traffic Safety Service officially denied the information.

In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 547 of July 18, 2018, the permit for changing the tint of vehicle windows is set at eight times the base calculation amount. At present, this fee amounts to 3,296,000 soum.

The specialist said no changes have been made to the current procedure. Information about reduced prices circulating on unofficial channels is false, and citizens are asked to rely only on official sources.
