My brother, who manages Torino, spoke highly of Shomurodov

Currently, most of the teams of our Super League are holding training camps for the new season in Antalya, Turkey. Every day, some of our clubs are holding their own control matches.

Yesterday, the Navoi club “Kyzylkum” held a friendly match against the Georgian team “Samgurali” and ended with a score of 0:0.

We noticed that the head coach of the opposing team is Italian Rodolfo Vanoli. When we inquired, he turned out to be the brother of Paolo Vanoli, the head coach of the Torino club, which currently plays in the Italian Serie A.

During the discussion, we informed the club representative that we wanted to have a little chat with the coach after the match. After the match, the 62-year-old Vanoli agreed to our offer. During the interview, the coach spoke in Italian and his words were translated into English and Russian.

- First of all, tell us about your impressions of the match.
- First of all, we are very happy. After all, we played with a good team. We had not yet been able to fully form our team. We were not enough players. But today our young players were able to make a difference in the game.

- What information do you have about Uzbek football?
- We know that football is developing widely in Uzbekistan. A lot of investment is being made. We are pleased with this. Uzbek players are also playing successfully abroad. We can only wish them to strive forward.

- You probably know well about our compatriot Eldor Shomurodov, who plays in the Italian Serie A?
- Eldor Shomurodov is a very good and important player. He has been playing in the Italian Serie A for many years. My brother is the head coach of Torino. He also spoke highly of Shomurodov, and I know Eldor through my brother.

- What do you think about Kyzylkum, the opponent your team played against?
- They have a good team and a good coach. If the field was great, would the game have been even better?! This game was beneficial for both teams and I wish them good luck in the championship.
