The German portal Transfermarkt has updated the transfer prices of English Premier League players. According to it, the transfer price of the defender of the Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City club Abdukоdir Khusanov has increased to 35 million euros. This price is a new record for Uzbek and Central Asian football.
Price tripled

Over the past year, the transfer price of 21-year-old Khusanov has increased from 1.5 million euros to 2 million euros, in October to 5 million euros, and in December to 12 million euros. After moving from Lens to Manchester City and becoming one of the team's main defenders, his price has almost tripled, and today, March 18, the portal increased his price to 35 million euros.
Absolute record price in the history of Uzbek football
Abdukоdir Khusanov's transfer price reaching 35 million euros is an absolute record for Uzbek football. The total transfer value of the Uzbekistan national team is currently 70 million euros, of which 35 million euros belong to Abdukоdir, and the remaining 35 million euros are the total value of all players.

Previously, Eldor Shomurodov's transfer price of 14 million euros in 2021 was considered the absolute record transfer price in Uzbek football. Khusanov became the new owner of this record with a price of 35 million euros.
Manchester City's 2nd most expensive central defender
It is worth noting that Khusanov became Manchester City's second most expensive central defender in this regard. While Ruben Diaz's price is 70 million euros, there has been a decrease in the value of central defenders such as Nathan Ake (32 million euros), Manuel Akanji (32 million euros), and John Stones (30 million euros).
De Bruyne, Ederson, Gundogan, Kovacic left behind
Abdukоdir left behind not only a number of defenders at his club, but also famous players. In particular, he managed to surpass such stars as Kevin de Bruyne (27 million), Ederson (25 million), Mateo Kovacic (25 million), Ilkay Gundogan (7 million), who are among the leaders of Manchester. However, it is worth noting that the transfer prices of these experienced players are also reduced due to the fact that they are over 30 years old.
Erling Haaland is the most expensive player in the "city" with a price tag of 200 million euros. Rodri and Foden are in the top three with a price tag of 130 million euros.
Leaving Son to become Asia's 4th most valuable footballer
Abdukоdir has surpassed Tottenham and South Korea winger Son Heung-min (€30 million) to enter the top five for the first time among Asia's most valuable players. Japan's Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and Korea's Kim Min-jae (Bayern) are the most valuable players in Asia with a price tag of €45 million. Takefusa Kubo (Japan, Real Sociedad) is in third place with a price tag of €40 million, while the Uzbek player is in fourth place with a price tag of €35 million. PSG winger Kang In-lee and Son Heung-min are in fifth place with a price tag of €30 million.
In the top 4 in the CIS
The 21-year-old defender of the Uzbekistan national team is also in the top 4 among the most valuable players in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Only Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (85 million euros), Giorgi Mamardashvili (40 million) and Ukrainian Ilya Zabarniy (38 million euros) are ahead of Abdukоdir Khusanov.
