Aguero respects Ronaldo but chooses others
Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has acknowledged Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest players in football history but did not include him in his personal top four, The Telegraph reported.

According to Aguero, the best player in the world is Lionel Messi. He avoided comparing Messi with Diego Maradona, saying both should be recognized as the best of their respective eras.

"I've never liked such comparisons. We Argentinians should accept both Diego and Leo as the greatest players in football history," said Aguero.

The former striker also named Brazilian Ronaldo Nazario as a major influence on his career:
"The player who inspired me the most was Brazilian Ronaldo."

Aguero praised Ronaldinho’s “Joga Bonito” style, valuing his technique, dribbling, and creativity, and called him one of the most talented players ever.

So, Aguero’s list of the four greatest footballers includes:

- Lionel Messi
- Diego Maradona
- Ronaldo Nazario
- Ronaldinho

Cristiano Ronaldo did not make the list.
