The Opta portal, which conducts statistical analysis of football, has published new predictions for the results of the current season of the English Premier League. It shows the clubs that have the highest probability of entering the top five at the end of the season and securing a place in the Champions League.

Since Liverpool and Arsenal are currently significantly ahead of their rivals, this time the main attention is focused on the other five teams fighting for the top five.

According to the analysis, Manchester City, which is on a 6-game unbeaten streak, has the best chance of qualifying for the Champions League — 95.1%. According to the publication, the city will finish the season in third place.

The best chance for fourth place is given to Nottingham Forest — 80.1%. Fifth place is expected to be taken by Newcastle with a 77.6% probability.

The chances of London's Chelsea and Aston Villa are relatively low. In particular, the chances of the Blues under Mauricio Pochettino are 29.7%, and Aston Villa under Unai Emery are 17.3%.
