What did Alexander Khomyakov say after his resignation?
Former head coach of Andijon FC, Alexander Khomyakov, gave a farewell statement to the club’s press office:

“I sincerely wish Andijon success and good luck! I hope football in Andijon continues to grow and that the club will be recognized not only nationally but internationally.

Dear fans, thank you so much for your constant support throughout my time with the club! Especially the emotions we shared together during the Uzbekistan Cup final — I will never forget them. That success happened thanks to your support! You are the best fans in the world!

I would also like to thank the entire coaching staff, medical team, administrators, media officers, U-21 and U-19 coaches, academy trainers, ground staff, chefs, and all who supported me. Everyone contributed to the results on the pitch. Special thanks to the players!

I value each of them, and if I ever hurt or upset someone during work — I sincerely apologize. Every action I took was for the sake of team results. I wish the club the best of luck going forward.

I also want to thank the Andijan regional administration and the board of directors of Uzavtosanoat JSC for their trust. Leading a club like Andijon was a true honor. Take care!”

Alexander Khomyakov was officially appointed as head coach on December 15, 2022, and managed 72 matches in total: 26 wins, 21 draws, and 25 losses, with 95 goals scored and 85 conceded.

Under his leadership, Andijon won the Uzbekistan Cup for the first time in its history, and in 2023 he was named Best Coach in the Super League’s symbolic team of the year.
