
The second stage of the World Boxing Organization Cup has started in the capital of Poland, Warsaw. The Uzbek national team is participating in this prestigious competition, which will be held from May 10 to 17 at the famous COS Torwar sports arena in Warsaw, with 9 skilled leather glove masters.

Yesterday, May 12, the members of the Uzbek boxing team made a successful start to their participation in the international arena. During the day, 3 Uzbek boxers took to the ring, leaving no chance for their opponents and recording major victories.
First, Samandar Olimov, who fought in the -60 kg weight category, fought with the representative of the host country, Michael Akoto-Ampaw. Samandar fought very confidently, winning by unanimous decision of all judges with a score of 5:0 and advancing to the quarterfinals.
Then, Asadkhodja Muydinkhodjaev, who tried his luck in the -65 kg weight category, also entered the ring against his Swedish opponent, Hampus Broman. Asadkhodja fought at a high pace against his opponent, striking with accurate and powerful blows in each round. As a result, he won by unanimous decision of the judges with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the next stage.
One of the most impressive and impressive fights of the evening was the fight of Jahongir Zokirov, who competed in the heavyweight (+92 kg) category. He showed a sharp and intense fight against his Polish opponent Oskar Kopera, convincingly winning by technical knockout in the second round, proving that he is a serious contender for the competition.
For your information, the first stage of this cup, organized by the World Boxing organization, was held from March 31 to April 5 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. In this tournament, the Uzbek national team achieved excellent results and took first place in the overall team standings.
