Laporta: Lamine Yamal close to renewing contract with Barça

President of the famous Catalan club FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, responded to fans’ questions regarding winger Lamine Yamal’s future. According to him, negotiations to extend the young talent’s contract have entered their final stage.

“He is an integral part of our team”

President Laporta described Yamal as a key figure in the club’s future:

“Lamine Yamal is a very talented player. He possesses not only unique individual skills, but also a great understanding of team play and fits well with the club’s spirit. He feels free and happy at Barça.”

Contract expected to be extended until 2030

Laporta added that negotiations with Yamal’s agent, renowned football representative Jorge Mendes, went smoothly:

“Working with Jorge Mendes is easy. He’s a true professional, and we reached a mutually beneficial agreement quickly. All conditions have been agreed — now only the official signing remains.”

Earlier reports from insiders stated that Lamine Yamal is ready to sign a contract lasting until 2030.
