The Uzbekistan national team, which is successfully continuing its participation in the World Cup qualifying stage, will face its next challenge on June 10. At the “Milliy” stadium in Tashkent, our team will take the field against the Asian champions — the Qatar national team.
However, ahead of this match, the participation of one of our team’s key players — midfielder Otabek Shukurov — remains uncertain. He sustained an injury in the friendly match against the UAE (0:0) and, as a result, did not participate in recent training sessions. The national team’s coaching staff has stated that they are prioritizing the full recovery of the player’s health.
Shukurov is one of the leading players of our national team, regularly part of the main lineup, and his play is vital for maintaining midfield balance and organizing attacks. His possible absence could lead to changes in the tactical approach against Qatar.
It should be noted that the Uzbekistan vs. Qatar match will begin on June 10 at 18:45 Tashkent time. Head coach Srečko Katanec’s players are expected to take to the field for victory and to strengthen their position in the group.
Important note for fans:
Even if Shukurov does not participate in this match, which would be a loss for the team, there are talented players in the squad capable of replacing him. We wish success to our national team! Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
