The number of Uzbek footballers in the Turkish championship may increase by one more. Reports have emerged that Istanbul Başakşehir has now sent an official offer to Moscow’s CSKA for Abbosbek Fayzullaev, who currently plays for the club and is considered a bright star of the Uzbekistan national team.
Famous Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun confirmed this news on his social media page. However, it is not yet known how much the Turkish club has offered for the player. It should be noted that on the same day, it was reported that Istanbul Başakşehir was also in negotiations for another Uzbek star, Eldor Shomurodov. This news was previously shared by Turkish football insider Yagiz Sabuncuoglu through his social media.
Abbosbek Fayzullaev’s contract with CSKA runs until the summer of 2026. Last season, the 21-year-old winger played a total of 39 matches for his team, scoring 3 goals and providing 8 assists. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the player’s current transfer value is estimated at around 8 million euros.
At the moment, Fayzullaev is also attracting interest from clubs in Europe’s top leagues. In particular, reports have spread that the head coach of England’s Wolverhampton has included the young Uzbek star in his plans for the new season. We had previously shared this information on our site.
If this transfer goes through, Istanbul Başakşehir will have a strong duo of Uzbek stars, and the number of Uzbek footballers in the Turkish championship will increase once again. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
