Uzbekistan U-17 is undergoing serious trials on the road to the World Cup
The Uzbekistan U-17 national team continues to hold friendly matches against a number of strong opponents in order to thoroughly prepare for the Youth World Cup. At the next training camp organized overseas, the Chile and Bolivia national teams served as a test for our young footballers. This camp provided important lessons not only physically, but also psychologically and tactically.

According to head coach Islam Ismailov, both matches against the Chilean youth were won. At the same time, the opponent’s high level of physical strength, technical proficiency, and constant pressing gave the Uzbek footballers a great opportunity to gain experience. In the first match, they managed to keep the opponent under pressure with positional attacks, and in the second game, despite changes in the line-up involving 7 players, the necessary result was achieved.

The match against Bolivia was more interesting and testing. The conditions at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level created serious physical difficulties for the team. Despite complete dominance and game control in the first match, due to defensive errors, they were defeated. According to the head coach, this was due not only to tactical, but also to physiological factors. Although it was not easy to adapt to the climate in a short time, the tactical changes made in the second match paid off, and a victory was achieved.

The issue of the team’s main striker Asilbek Aliyev receiving a red card was also not left without attention. Discipline and emotion management are among the main requirements for young footballers. The coach emphasized that the right conclusions will be drawn from this incident and that the necessary measures will be taken to prevent such situations from happening again.

According to Islam Ismailov, this camp serves for gradual, holistic, and targeted preparation for the World Cup. Now the past games will be deeply analyzed, and work on mistakes will be carried out both as a team and individually. The main priorities will be further deepening physical training, tactical exercises, and studying opponents. The national team will continue regular preparation according to the plan and will boldly move towards its goal.

The Uzbekistan U-17 national team is proving itself in international trials ahead of the World Cup, providing our young footballers with very important experience and psychological maturity. These camps serve as a strong foundation for future champions.
