The living legend of Brazilian football and two-time world champion Ronaldo shared his opinion about the recent appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as head coach of the national team. According to him, the Italian specialist is the ideal choice for the “Pentacampeones”.
“I think Ancelotti's arrival to the team was a great decision. I know him very well – he always approaches team building seriously. He can be a true leader in relations with the players. His experience will give the team confidence and help to win on the field,” Ronaldo said.
The Brazilian legend also compared Ancelotti to the famous coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who once led the national team:
“He reminds me of Felipão in many ways. Scolari was also like a father to the players. Training sessions were sometimes boring, but everyone was ready to give everything for him.”
For reference, Ancelotti officially began working as head coach of the Brazil national team in May 2025. His task is to lead the team to new successes. It should be noted that Ronaldo and Ancelotti previously crossed paths at AC Milan – back then Ronaldo was playing as a striker, and Ancelotti was the head coach.
