Almaty Hosts Cadets Asian Cups 2025; Our Youth Leading
In Kazakhstan’s capital, Almaty, the “Almaty Cadets Asian Cups 2025” tournament for boys and girls has begun at the Baluan Sholak Arena. A total of 459 judokas (292 boys, 167 girls) from 10 countries across four continents are vying for medals.

Today marked the first day of competition. Boys competed in weight categories −50, −55, −60, and −66 kg, while girls fought in −40, −44, −48, and −52 kg divisions. Our Uzbekistan team delivered an outstanding performance:

- 4 gold medals;
- 6 silver medals;
- 6 bronze medals.

With 16 medals altogether, Uzbekistan secured first place in the overall team standings at the end of day one!

Asian Judo Union Vice‑President and President of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, Azizjon Kamilov, is personally observing the competition at the venue, boosting the morale of our cadet judokas.

According to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, these impressive results are the result of meticulous training and the hard work of the coaching staff. This success reflects the resilience and effort of the young athletes in overcoming challenges.

Next up is day two of the competition, where more medals are on the line. Uzbekistan continues to showcase its leadership!
