The Club World Cup final was unforgettable — but painful — for PSG. After Chelsea’s big win, PSG's head coach Luis Enrique spoke about the match and openly acknowledged the opponent’s superiority.
– “We are in big sport. Sometimes there are such days. Of course, we need to analyze the match again. One thing is clear: Chelsea started better than us. Their pressing was effective and caused us big problems. They moved much more freely in attack. We struggled to adapt to the match,” said Enrique.
The coach also singled out Chelsea star Cole Palmer’s performance:
– “Palmer delivered a true super performance. His movements and decisions took the opponent’s game to a completely different level. He became one of the key heroes of today’s victory.”
Enrique congratulated the opponent on winning the championship and viewed the defeat as a lesson for his team. He believes that such finals should serve as experience and motivation for future matches.
