Liverpool are looking for a new winger in France

England’s renowned club Liverpool is reportedly considering strengthening its squad by signing a young winger from the French league. According to journalist Sasha Tavolieri, 20-year-old Lyon winger Malik Fofana has emerged as a primary transfer target for the Merseyside club, seen as the main candidate to replace Italian midfielder Federico Chiesa.

Reports suggest that Chiesa is expected to leave England soon and continue his career in Italy. This has prompted Liverpool’s management to focus on acquiring a talented and promising young attacker. Sources indicate that Malik Fofana’s move to the English Premier League is highly likely.

Last season, Fofana made 41 appearances for Lyon in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists. The French forward’s current contract with Lyon runs until the summer of 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €30 million.
