During an international event in Singapore, the Uzbek sports delegation held a high-level meeting with Witold Bańka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Ministry of Sports reported.
Representing Uzbekistan were Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, and Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov.
The discussions focused on several key areas: strengthening anti-doping systems, protecting athletes’ health, fostering international cooperation, and implementing joint initiatives.
Witold Bańka praised Uzbekistan’s recent reforms in anti-doping efforts and confirmed WADA’s readiness to deepen collaboration moving forward.
