The renowned Madrid club "Real" put a stop to the move of the highly promising young defender Diego Aguado to another team during this summer transfer window, reports marca.com. This decision was made by the club management in order to further strengthen the central defense and provide opportunities for promising academy graduates.
According to reports, the 18-year-old talented defender attracted serious interest from Borussia Dortmund, and a number of other top European clubs also considered Aguado as a transfer target. However, the Real management took a firm stance in this matter and completely blocked the defender's transfer.
Another important detail is that the new head coach, Xabi Alonso, personally took Diego Aguado under his supervision and, as noted, is closely monitoring his development. Marca’s source reports that Alonso plans to gradually involve the young defender in first-team matches during the new season.
According to available data, Diego Aguado has so far appeared only once for Real’s main team. However, in the club’s long-term plans, he is expected to play an important role. The central defender's current contract runs until the middle of 2029, and according to Transfermarkt’s valuation, Aguado is worth about one million euros.
Madrid club fans, for their part, have great faith in young talents and hope that such gifted players will have more opportunities in the main squad in the new season. The football community is also closely watching how Diego Aguado will develop under Xabi Alonso.
