— Maxim Alexandrovich, the summer training camp has ended. Are you satisfied?
— Yes, very satisfied. With the transfer window open, we brought in all the players we needed. We filled all lines. We trained with the new players together and are preparing well for the first game of the second half.
— In recruitment several players were invited. Do you see all the players you wanted?
— I’m pleased with the recruitment. We signed all the players we planned. They have different physical levels, so we can’t use them all immediately. But I think they will develop match by match. Our fans will definitely see the full squad.
— On August 3, Andijon will host Kokand‑1912 at Bobur Arena. Any thoughts?
— We ask our fans to support us tirelessly. If they cheer actively every game, we’ll be grateful. We will do our best to make them happy with our performances. I believe the number of fans at each match will increase. Fan support is vital, in tough and happy times. We appreciate their loyalty. I want the stadium full every match. Also I ask them to be patient — football can have wins and losses. What’s important is we have strong fans. I’ve always said: Andijon fan club is the strongest in Uzbekistan. God willing, all will be well.
— Some players like Uskokovich, Turdimurodov left. Is that a loss?
— In a way yes, any player’s departure is a loss. Luka Uskokovich caused an unpleasant situation. I spoke to him several times. We parted as friends. He went through treatment, I don’t know if something changed. Honestly, I have forgotten about him. Regarding Rustam — I have always been on his side. He lacked playing time, so we decided he should play elsewhere. A player cannot develop without match practice.
— Was there a mandate from management before the second half?
— Targets have always been high, and I hold myself to high standards. We want to be champions. God willing, it will happen.
— How do you deal with teams that stretch the game by delaying?
— The way is simple: score a quick goal. Then they won’t waste time, they’ll play football.
