In the match against “Kokand-1912” (3:0), Kyrgyz goalkeeper Erzhan Tokotaev made his first appearance for the “Andijon” club and shared his impressions about the debut game. According to him, this match was significant not only in terms of result but also in his personal career.
Tokotaev emphasized that playing his debut match at his home stadium in front of his fans filled him with pride. He especially noted that he was very pleased with the team’s big win in the match and, most importantly, with keeping a clean sheet.
– I am extremely happy to have played my first official match. Winning in such an atmosphere at our home ground, with our fans’ support, truly inspired me. Also, keeping a clean sheet in this match was a very important result for me, – said Erzhan.
Despite difficult situations, strong shots, and fast-paced moments, Tokotaev showed himself as a reliable goalkeeper. His saves were met with applause from the fans. Erzhan noted that the shots were very tough, but thanks to preparation and concentration, he managed to stop them.
– The shots directed at our goal, especially during the first half, were quite serious and dangerous. But I tried to stay focused and make the right decisions in every episode. I think I succeeded, – he added.
The goalkeeper also spoke positively about the team environment and the adaptation process. According to him, “Andijon” has a strong team spirit, and the relationships among players are sincere.
– I adapted to the team very quickly. My teammates welcomed me warmly. It wasn’t hard to fit in. The mutual understanding is great, – said Tokotaev.
He also sincerely praised the fans of “Andijon” and expressed his special gratitude.
