Since July 30, high-level and intense boxing competitions have been ongoing in Bangkok, the city that is currently at the center of attention in Thailand. This time, the Asian Championship among youth and boxers under 22 years old has become not only a sports event but also a subject of great interest for our compatriots, reports the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation.
This prestigious tournament has reached its most important and decisive stage. Today, that is, on August 6, 18 talented and determined boxers from our U-22 national team will step into the ring to fight for a place in the final. Notably, they have reached this stage with no losses, with a full roster in all weight categories. This once again proved the superiority of the national boxing school.
Below are the matchups of our boxers who will fight for a place in the final:
- In the 50 kg weight category: Behruz Kholdorov will fight against the Thai boxer Thitiwat Phlongaura.
- At 55 kg: Samandar Olimov will take on South Korean representative Jinseong Hong.
- 60 kg: Shohrukh Abdumalikov will face Indian athlete Harsh.
- 65 kg: Sayat Ilyasov will compete against Mongolian boxer Damdindorg Pusevdorj.
- 70 kg: Muhammadazizbek Ismoilov will meet Japanese Moeto Kawamura in the ring.
- 75 kg: Shavkatjon Boltaev will test his strength against the host country’s boxer Thananchai Phoemsap from Thailand.
- 80 kg: Rahmatullo Boymatov will fight against Chinese representative Haoran Du.
- 85 kg: Abduloziz Abdurakhmanov will go up against South Korean Chaneong Nam.
- 90 kg: Shahzod Polvonov will demonstrate his skill against Indian boxer Mayur.
- +90 kg: Halimjon Mamasoliyev will take on South Korean athlete Yooseung Shin.
Our women's national team is also ready to showcase their potential:
- 48 kg: Robiyakhon Bakhtiyorova will fight Indian representative Bhavna Sharma.
- 51 kg: Gulsevar Ganieva will enter the ring against Yu-Shan Liu from Chinese Taipei.
- 54 kg: Uzukjamol Yunusova will face Vietnamese athlete Thi To Nhu Tran.
- 57 kg: Khumorabonu Mamajonova will battle Chinese Mi Qi Wang.
- 60 kg: Odinakhon Ismoilova will go up against Indian athlete Priya.
- 65 kg: Mohira Akhmedova will meet Chinese Shanatibieke Dina in the ring.
- 70 kg: Oysha Toirova will compete against Hong Kong boxer Pei Ting Lo.
- +80 kg: Diyorakhon Abdumannobova will take on Kazakh representative Assel Toktassin.
