The words of OKMK player Giorgi Papava, spoken after another exciting match, attracted great interest from Uzbek football fans, reports championat.asia. After the dramatic clash against “Pakhtakor” (1:2), the experienced midfielder, in a short interview, elaborated on the team's spirit, preparation process, and upcoming goals.
Papava emphasized that every match in the Super League is maximally challenging. The opponent's name does not matter, what’s crucial is the spirit of struggle. According to the OKMK captain, in recent years, they have thoroughly mastered the tactical approach against “Pakhtakor” and learned how to avoid defeats in such matches. He noted that both teams had enough chances to score, but it was OKMK who used their opportunities wisely, which led to the victory.
Giorgi also highlighted that the team prepared very seriously for the second half of the season during the one-month break. Ahead lies another six tough and intense months. Acknowledging the hard work of the coaching staff and all players, Papava expressed confidence that these efforts will now be reflected in concrete victories.
He also addressed the fact that in June, the team lost important points in unexpected places, which caused their position in the table to drop. However, in his opinion, the table is very tight, so every match result can change the overall situation. The main goal is to fight for victory in every game and focus as much as possible on the next match.
