One of the most financially powerful and prestigious clubs in the English Premier League, "Chelsea," may soon significantly boost its treasury. According to sources, the London side is expected to earn around 150 million euros in revenue.
According to the publication Fichajes, the current UEFA Champions League winners and France’s leading club, "Paris Saint-Germain," have begun serious efforts to acquire talented Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández.
The Parisians are offering 125 million euros as the main transfer fee for the Argentine World Cup winner. With additional bonuses that may be included in the contract, this amount could rise to 150 million euros.
For reference, Chelsea extended its latest contract with the 24-year-old player until the summer of 2032. Transfermarkt values Fernández’s market worth at 75 million euros.
However, in reality, if PSG completes this deal, they will have to pay almost twice the player's market value. This could become one of the largest financial operations in the transfer market.
Thus, for Chelsea, this would be not only a major financial gain but also another successful example of their transfer strategy. As for the Parisians, they aim to strengthen their Champions League ambitions by adding another top-level star to their squad.
