A new stage in the sports sector of Uzbekistan has been made possible by the construction of the updated National Football Center. On August 18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the center located in the Yukori Chirchiq district and got acquainted with its activities.
The construction of the center began on November 9, 2022, and now it covers over 100 hectares. This 290-million-dollar project was implemented by "CAMC Engineering" with modern technologies in line with international standards. The National Football Center is equipped with modern architectural solutions and technological innovations.
The center consists of five main sports complexes, including football, table tennis, futsal, fencing, and e-sports. The velodrome, in particular, has a unique design and structure, fully meeting the requirements of the International Olympic Committee. In addition, all conditions are provided for football players, including sports medicine and a rehabilitation department for rapid recovery.
Four main structures operate in the center, including a football specialists' training center, a national team preparation center, a republican football academy, and a sports medicine center. International specialists are being involved for developing youth talents and preparing qualified coaches.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his opinion on the major reforms in football and the new opportunities created for youth. This center and the new facilities not only contribute to enhancing the skills of young footballers but also aim to nurture any talent.
The President also met with young football players, acknowledged their contribution to victories, and wished them further success. Now, the National Football Center is gaining attention not only in Uzbekistan but also internationally.
Moreover, the President emphasized the importance of further supporting football and creating more opportunities for youth. This center will become an important motivator for the next generation and will play a key role in raising the level of sports in the country.
