The Swiss national team defender and experienced "Manchester City" player Manuel Akanji could continue his professional career outside Europe, specifically in Turkey.
According to reports, one of the most prestigious Turkish clubs, the champion "Galatasaray," has expressed interest in adding the footballer to their squad. This was reported by the well-known football insider Fabrizio Romano. The Turkish team held separate negotiations with the club and the defender’s agent regarding the transfer.
"Manchester City" has agreed to the transfer, leaving the final decision to the player himself. Akanji will now decide on his future and choose the best option among the available opportunities.
It should be noted that Manuel Akanji has been playing for "Manchester City" since 2022. His current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2027. Nevertheless, the player has opportunities to play in both European and Turkish teams.
Additionally, the international transfer portal Transfermarkt valued the defender at 28 million euros. This clearly indicates that he is competitive and a valuable player for his team.
If Akanji moves to the Turkish league, he will not only continue his career at a new stage but also make a significant contribution to Galatasaray’s defensive line. Both fans and football experts are closely following this transfer.
