The Spanish football giant Real Madrid and the team’s key star, Brazilian national team player Vinicius Junior, are in negotiations for a new contract, which, as reported, were halted several weeks ago. ESPN reported this news.
The player’s agents believe that the amount offered by the club is insufficient. They demand that Vinicius’ monthly salary be increased to at least 20 million euros, and the total annual contract amount to reach 30 million euros. However, the “royal club” is not yet ready to pay the Brazilian winger more than 20 million.
For reference, the 25-year-old Junior showed a very productive performance last season. He played 58 matches for his team, scored 22 goals, and provided 19 assists. These results further emphasized Vinicius’ importance for the team and his efficiency on the field.
