Ankalaev Expressed Readiness to Fight Chimaev

UFC light heavyweight champion, Russia’s Magomed Ankalaev, shared his thoughts on a potential fight with Chechnya's Hamzat Chimaev. According to Ankalaev, he is ready for a bout with Chimaev if the latter moves up to the 93 kg weight class.

“Chimaev said he could move to 93 kg. Theoretically, could I fight him? I don’t know, I’m still in this division. If someone wants to move up and try their strength, I’m always ready. No problem,” said Ankalaev in an interview with Sport24 YouTube channel.

It is also worth noting that Ankalaev had previously mentioned plans to move to the heavyweight division.
