Jaloliddin Masharipov, one of the leaders of the Uzbekistan national team, expressed his opinion on the coaching issue that has been relevant around the team in recent days.
The footballer stated that he saw reports in the press about Paulo Bento, who is being mentioned as the new coach:
- I read about Bentu's arrival through websites. He was brought based on his name and experience gained at World Championships. Bentu knows a lot about us. But here, the players don't make decisions; time will tell. He hasn't officially signed a contract yet. Therefore, it is too early to express a definite opinion," said Masharipov.
At the same time, he said that he is not in a hurry to comment now on the tactical methods of the new coach:
- It is correct to consider it in the process of work and draw conclusions about its style and tactics. In some cases, we can play against Asian teams without a coach. Therefore, we will gain more experience in matches against strong opponents. Just because the coach came to talk doesn't mean everything is settled," the footballer added.
Experts emphasize that Masharipov's comments indicate a cautious atmosphere within the team and preparation for a new stage. Fans are eagerly awaiting changes after Paulo Bento officially joins the team.
