For four days now, the World Junior Championship has been in full swing in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. While the matches are in full swing, the Uzbekistan national team has been achieving high results from the very first days, bringing great joy to its fans.
According to the results of the third day, our judokas maintained the lead in the overall medal count. To date, our team has won 6 medals. It is noteworthy that 4 of them are gold medals. With this indicator, a new record was set in the history of sports in Uzbekistan.
The second place in the competition is taken by Russian athletes participating under the flag of the International Judo Federation (IJF). They are in reserve with 3 gold and 3 bronze medals. Japan, the home of judo, finished in the top three with 1 gold and 2 silver medals.
The top ten also included judo schools from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Serbia, Turkey, Georgia, and Belgium. This indicates a high level of competition.

According to the information distributed by the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, our young athletes are gradually demonstrating their skills and worthily defending the honor of the country. According to experts, these results, recorded in Sofia, will open up great experience and new opportunities for our youth on the path to the next Olympics.
