New sensational news in European football. Former Juventus coach Thiago Motta, insider Nicolo Schira, announced via his social media that he is likely to take over the management of the renowned German club Bayer Leverkusen.
According to the journalist, the intermediaries offered the 42-year-old Italian specialist to the Leverkusen club's management. However, the club has not yet given a clear answer.
As a reminder, former Bayer Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag was officially dismissed on September 1st. After this decision, the team management began considering new candidates.
Thiago Motta took charge of Juventus before the start of last season. His coaching career is quite interesting: managing Bologna in the 2023/2024 Serie A competition, he finished fourth with the team and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. This result further elevated Motta's candidacy.
