At the invitation of the Football Association of Uzbekistan, FIFA President Gianni Infantino arrived in our country on an official visit. The main purpose of his visit is to discuss new projects aimed at further developing the football industry, get acquainted with the activities of the National Football Center, and watch the final match of the prestigious tournament - the "CAFA Nations Cup-2025" live.
The FIFA delegation was solemnly welcomed at the Tashkent International Airport. The guests were welcomed by the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia and First Deputy Chairman of the NOC Otabek Umarov, First Vice President of the UFA Ravshan Irmatov, and other officials.
Gianni Infantino's visit is considered an important step towards further increasing the prestige of Uzbek football on the international stage and developing a number of strategic directions in cooperation with FIFA.
It should be noted that the final match of the "CAFA Nations Cup-2025" will be held today, September 8, at the "Olympia" stadium. In this match, the host Uzbekistan national team will take on Iran. The match will start at 19:30 Tashkent time and is expected to be a high-level show for football fans.
