Another compatriot of ours delighted fans at the ongoing World Senior Championships in Liverpool, England.
Jawohir Ummataliev, who entered the ring in the -80 kg weight category, had a very intense and uncompromising fight against his Kazakh opponent Nurbek Oralbai. During the fight, both boxers demonstrated their skill and endurance. However, Ummataliev gained the upper hand in the decisive minutes.
At the end of the fight, the judges awarded the victory to Jawohir Ummataliev by unanimous decision. Thus, our compatriot secured a place in the semifinals of the competition and at least a bronze medal.
This result was a great joy not only for our athlete, but also for the entire team and the fans of our country. Now everyone is interested in how Ummataliev will perform in the next stage.
As a reminder, another representative of our country, Turabek Khabibullaev, will take to the ring against Sagindyk Togambay from Kazakhstan as part of the championship. This fight is also eagerly awaited by fans.
