Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim answered journalists' questions ahead of the big derby. During the conversation, he expressed his opinion about comparing himself to Josep Guardiola and openly stated that he considers such a view completely inappropriate.
"Comparing the pressure on me to Guardiola's situation seems ridiculous. He has always won, and even if he can't win, he feels free. And here I have to prove every day that I am a truly strong coach. This aspect is a big responsibility for me, but at the same time, it gives me strength and enthusiasm," Amorim said.
According to the coach, there are still serious unresolved issues in the team. But work is underway on them. "Of course, sometimes we get angry, there are disappointments. Nevertheless, we always try to eliminate problems," he noted.
Amorim also noted that the team has shown considerable growth in recent games. In his opinion, the main thing is to use opportunities more effectively and achieve more victories. "Then all the processes will be much easier," added the United manager.
So, before the derby, Amorim's goal is clear - to be able to make the team stronger and more eager for victory. As he himself said, the current pressure is not an obstacle to him, but rather encourages him to be stronger.
