Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta shared his thoughts on the eve of the Champions League new season. The Spanish specialist emphasized that despite the long and arduous journey ahead, the team is ready for it.
"We must make the most of every opportunity to win. One of the main tasks is to avoid injuries. If this is not an obstacle, we can get closer to our goals," Arteta said.
According to him, luck wasn't on his side in the semi-finals last season. But through this result, the team drew big conclusions and gained experience. "Actually, last year we had the opportunity to go further, but that didn't happen. Therefore, we believe in our capabilities this season and I think we can see the competition through to the end," the coach added.
Arteta and his players also instilled confidence in the fans before the match against Athletic Bilbao. Arsenal aims to speak up on the European stage this season and achieve even greater heights.
