Will Arsenal sign a new striker to replace Viktor Gyokeres?

Arsenal legend Martin Keown insisted that Mikel Arteta must be ruthless in the transfer market following the Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite winning the Premier League title, the missed opportunities in the penalty shootout in Budapest highlighted the need to strengthen the squad. Specifically, questions are arising regarding new signing Viktor Gyokeres. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
After the match at the Puskas Arena, Martin Keown identified the attacking line as the primary area in need of improvement. The former defender believes that although the team won the domestic league after a 22-year wait, they need high-caliber players to compete with Europe's elite clubs. Keown specifically mentioned the need to strengthen the center-forward and left-wing positions.
Viktor Gyokeres was signed last summer for £64 million, but his debut season at Emirates Stadium was not as brilliant as expected. The Swedish striker being dropped from the starting lineup in the most important game in club history may indicate the manager's lack of faith in him. At the same time, although Kai Havertz scored, his physical condition and injuries are hindering consistent playing time.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard also agreed with Keown's views. According to him, Arsenal played 63 games during the season, and in such a tight schedule, it is essential to have more than one high-quality striker. Gerrard added that the team should say goodbye to players who have reached their peak or are starting to decline and should regularly refresh the squad.
Mikel Arteta also acknowledged the need for new blood in the squad, asking the club's management to be smart and ambitious in the transfer window. While acknowledging that Paris Saint-Germain is currently the strongest team in the world, the Spanish manager emphasized that important and quick decisions must be made for Arsenal to reach the next level.
