Mourinho: I will now live with Benfica, I will spend my energy here

In his opening statement, Jose Mourinho recognized Benfica as one of the world's largest and most influential teams.

"I have a lot of emotions, but I have enough experience to control them and direct them correctly. I express my gratitude to the club management and all the people who have placed their trust in me.

I'm Portuguese, and there's no one who doesn't know the history, culture, and scale of Benfica. Here I will try to diligently fulfill my duties and focus all my attention on my work.

It's been 25 years since I left Benfica. During this time, I returned not to restore my career, but as a coach who has come a long way. During these twenty-five years, I worked at the world's largest and most famous clubs. But no team in this group has given me such strong spirit and enthusiasm as Benfica.

I will now live with Benfica, work for the benefit of this club, and dedicate all my energy to it," Mourinho stated.
